General Manager - Receipt Bank
Luis is the General Manager for Receipt Bank Australia, responsible for leading a team of over 40 talented professionals focused on saving time for Australian accountants, bookkeepers and small businesses. Luis brings over 20 years of global marketing experience to Receipt Bank.
Previously, Luis was the Marketing Director for Intuit Australia, responsible for tripling the QuickBooks customer base in Australia in 2 years, growing it from 53,000 to 161,000. Luis grew the marketing team from 8 to 29 employees in these 2 years, and his team harnessed current and emerging technologies with a focus on mobile to ensure QuickBooks customers remain delighted with the product and suite of offerings.
Prior to relocating to Australia in July 2016, Luis spent six years with Intuit on accountant & bookkeeper-focused marketing teams. Under his direction, the QuickBooks US accounting business grew by 90% over 2015 and 2016. Immediately prior, Luis more than doubled the pool of QuickBooks savvy accountants or ProAdvisors from 60,000 to 130,000 across the US, UK, Canada, Australia, India and France.
Before Intuit, Luis held marketing roles with multinationals including Visa, General Mills and JP Morgan, as well as Silicon-Valley startups Chipshot.com and Dialpad Communications. These roles spanned mobile marketing, brand management, corporate strategy and new business development.
Luis launched his career at JP Morgan in New York’s Wall Street, where he was an investment banking analyst specialising in mergers and acquisitions. Luis holds an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard University. Outside of work, he loves golf, running, movies, spicy food and spending time with his wife Kelly, and their two young daughters, Espi and Nava.
